How much does Hair Transplant cost? (all the cost discussed is after 10 percent discounting)

For accurate costing I created a method called hair mapping adopted by most clinics and physicians who received training under my supervision. I use hair mapping effectively to measure the exact number of hair grafts a patient needs. In hair restoration, the ultimate value to the patient is doctor’s artistic skill to create symmetry, balance, proportion, and blending and is not, not, directly related to the number of hair grafts. Most important is the preservation of the health of newly harvested grafts. The newly harvested hairs must survive and stay healthy to achieve the exact artistic look that was intended. Nothing is more important. During the past two years we have invested heavily on best quality equipment, tools, lighting and cooling systems to preserve grafts’ survival rate.

There are over 250 steps in a successful hair transplant and every one of them must be done correctly with highest attention to details. My staff and I perform only one case daily (no matter how many graft you need) in order to make sure every step is done with the highest care and dedication. FUT or Strip Hair Transplant Cost Analysis

For Strip Hair Transplant, Dr. Behnam charges $3.05 per graft for any case below 1800 grafts and a flat fee of $5490.00 for any case above 1800. You will never pay one Dollar over $5490 no matter how many grafts you might need above 1800.

Here are several examples:

1000 hair grafts is priced at 1000 x 3.05 = $3050

1200 hair grafts is priced at 1200 x 3.05 = $3660

1700 hair grafts is priced at 1700 x 3.05 = $5180

1800 hair grafts is priced at 1800 x 3.05 = $5490 (highest limit)

1900 hair grafts is priced at $5490 flat

2000 hair grafts is priced at $5490 flat

3000 hair grafts is priced at $5490 flat

For example, if you need 2500 (average hair transplant case) the average cost per hair graft is $5490 / 2500 = $2.19 Per Hair Graft

For us, to be able to harvest 2500 or more hair grafts in one day depends on the hair density of your Donor Area. Again, please don’t hesitate to ge a free hair exam ($350 value) today. The more you keep hair in your donor area the better.

Why is the price flat after 1800? First I dedicate a full day no matter how many hair grafts you need and second there are economies of scale and scope in hair transplant. In other words after meeting certain price threshold, the more does not mean the higher cost.

What is Bulk 2000 Advertisement?

Many patients ask Dr. Sean about Bulk 2000 hair grafts. Since we are discussing cost, we would like to caution you of deceptive advertising of bulk 2000 hair grafts for unbelievably low price.

What’s the catch? Hair must be transplanted in a uniform fashion. The density must stay uniform. You cannot have denser areas. If you only need 1000 or 1500 hair grafts, what would you do with the remaining 500? There is a limit to density and one cannot just fit 2000 grafts in an area  that only needs 1500.

In the case of that bulk 2000 advertisement, unfortunately the graft survival is so low that you will end up between 1000 to 1500 hair grafts once it is all done. Not only you will not have denser areas, but the additional pressure to place more grafts will contribute to further hair loss.  What’s worse is that you have also endured a larger scar (since the strip must also be larger for 2000) and extra 500 to 1000 holes in your scalp where the damaged hair grafts did not survive. Unfortunately some clinics have to raise the number of needed grafts to hide their low graft survival rate and Bulk Selling is the best way to do so.

The fact remains that Highest Quality is not Cheap; yet we have strived to make it affordable and we have succeeded by innovation, automation, and investing in right places.
